Our Mission
Orchard View Equestrian Center has access to safe horses, a kind community, a quality facility, and well educated instructors. Knowing this, we feel it is our responsibility to share our barn with the rest of the community.
It is our mission to create a lifelong equestrian; an equestrian that is committed, consistent, well-educated, hard-working, and willing to advocate for themselves and their horse.
With this mission, we have created a program unique to the horse industry. Our Introductory Program allows for all walks of life to get a glimpse into the horse industry, and make the educated decision on whether or not it is for them.

Policies
*24 hour cancellation notice is required for all lessons
*No refunds will be given for unused lessons in a package or unattended Horsemanship Classes
*If you miss a Horsemanship Class there will be no makeup offered for the missed session due to the nature of the course
*Payment for lessons and the Horsemanship Course are due at the time of the lesson or the FIRST session. We can only accept cash or check. NO CREDIT CARDS
*In the event of inclement weather we will contact the students and reschedule lessons/classes
*Riders must wear long pants. Everyone coming to the barn (kids and adults) must wear closed toed shoes. We require certified equine helmets for all riders. If you do not have your own we will provide one for you.
Step 1:
Introductory Tour
(Students with Prior Horse Experience)
Are you a seasoned horse rider? Comfortable independently getting your horse ready for a lesson? Schedule a 30 minute Introductory Tour of Orchard View so we can show you around!
During your tour we will show you around the farm, where you would find your lesson horse, locate all needed tack, and ensure you feel prepared to start our private lesson program.
If the instructor or yourself does not feel you are prepared, you can take the Horsemanship Course to further educate yourself.

Step 1:
Horsemanship Course
(Students with Little to No Horse Experience)
Here at Orchard View we truly believe in a strong, positive foundation for all of our students. Our Horsemanship Course consists of introductory lessons that offer a great beginning for new horse enthusiasts, both adults and children, to learn and experience the benefits of being around horses and horseback riding!
The Horsemanship Course is a four week course that prepares students to work independently and confidently grooming horses, tacking up, horse care and safety, and handling horses both on the ground and in the saddle. Our Horsemanship Course is the perfect full experience for anyone looking to expand their horse knowledge and start private lessons!
A free 30 minute review will be scheduled after the completed course to evaluate your readiness and ensure your confidence for our private lesson program.

Step 2:
Individual Lessons Ages 7 & Up
(Must Complete Step 1)
Individual lessons are one-on-one with the student and the instructor. These 30 minute lessons give the students time to work on fine tuning their riding and horse knowledge no matter what level they are at. All lessons can be with an Orchard View lesson horse or a horse you own or lease.
Students are required to arrive 30 minutes prior to their scheduled lesson time to have their horse prepared for instruction and expected to stay after the lesson to allow time to properly put the horse away.
